About the Gunnison Valley RTA
RTA Mission Statement
The mission of the Gunnison Valley Transportation Authority (RTA) is to provide and improve air transportation to and from the Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport on a year-round basis, to provide a long term and energy efficient public transit system between the north and south ends of the Highway 135 corridor, and to provide senior and human services transportation in Gunnison County.
RTA Board of Directors
The RTA Board of Directors sets all RTA policies and is made up of eight elected officials representing the four entities that make up the RTA. There are two Board Members each from the City of Gunnison, the Town of Crested Butte, the Town of Mt. Crested Butte, and Gunnison County. All RTA Board Meeting are open to the public and you are welcome to attend in person or by Zoom. RTA Staff
There are four staff members of the RTA. The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors and is responsible for carrying out the policies that the Board sets. The other three staff members report to the Executive Director. Each staff member’s responsibilities can be found in the following pdf documents.
